Schefflera heptapleurum | 13cm Pot | By Plant Theory
The Schefflera is an easy to care for house plant that is an excellent choice for beginners! An upright plant with great foliage; stems will shoot off the main stalk with a grouping of leaves at each end. These leaves will gently droop and fan out, similar to the shape of an umbrella, earning the common name ‘Umbrella Plant’. You can tell the maturity of these species by the number of leaves on each stem, with mature plants having 12 to 16 leaves on each! Umbrella plants only require indirect light, though the variegated kinds may need a little more. Please note, they are toxic when ingested so should be kept out of reach of pets and small children.
